What Gesello does for you
Get results faster
Type in a value, read it off, carry on working. No flicking through the index and no guessing between two table rows.
Fewer mistakes
Gesello calculates exactly your case and rates the result: fits or does not fit. Guide values are marked as such.
Understand, don’t copy
Sketch, formula with legend and calculation steps for every result. Plus exercises with worked solutions for college and exams.
Works anywhere
Everything is calculated on the device. On the shop floor, in the basement, on site, with no signal at all.
Your values at hand
Favourites, history and a search across all modules. Copy or share results with one tap.
No catch
No account, no ads, no data collection in the app. The basic modules stay free.
Question in, answer out.
Typical workshop questions and what Gesello answers. Tap to see the matching module.
The difference
Calculated, not looked up.
A printed handbook shows values in steps. If your size falls in between, you have to estimate or convert. Gesello works differently: the app calculates every value with the formulas behind the tables. So you get exactly the value for your case, together with the calculation steps.
Who is Gesello for?
Gesello is a digital technical handbook for metalworking trades, mechatronics technicians and all technical trades. For everyone who works with metal, machines and plant, or is learning to. Instead of searching tables and estimating values between rows, you type in your data. Gesello calculates exactly your result. Gesello calculates limits of size for ISO fits, tap drill diameters for threads, spindle speed and feed for turning and milling, tightening torques for screws, weights of semi-finished products and much more.
Every result comes with a sketch and the calculation steps. On top of that there is a formula book with over 50 calculations, a learning path for CNC programming, exercises with worked solutions and the knowledge base with calculation guides. So Gesello supports you while learning just as well as for a quick check at the machine.
Apprentices in metalworking trades
Machinists, CNC operators, turners, millers, toolmakers, fitters and fabricators: Gesello shows you not just the result but also the calculation steps. So you understand what you are calculating: at college, at work and before the exam.
Mechatronics technicians
Mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical engineering in one app: fits, tightening torques, cylinder forces, drives and the formula wheel for U, I, R and P. Exactly the mix you need in training and in service.
Other technical trades
Whether you are a plant mechanic, automotive technician, process technician or electrician: if you calculate dimensions, forces, units and materials, you will find the right tools here.
Skilled workers at the machine
Turning, milling, drilling, assembly: spindle speed, fit, tap drill and tightening torque in seconds. Your phone is next to you anyway, the thick book usually isn’t.
Quality inspection and metrology lab
Limits of size, general tolerances, form and position, measurement series with Cp and Cpk: everything you need to decide quickly whether a part is good.
Technician and master craftsman courses
Tolerance stacks, drives, hydraulics, materials and technical mathematics with clear calculation steps for learning and checking.
Trainers and teachers
Sketches and calculation steps match the curriculum of metalworking and mechatronics trades. No account, no data collection in the app. That makes it a good fit for the classroom.
Design and production engineering
Specify fits, choose counterbores and standard parts, calculate weights and blanks without searching for long.
Search
Type in a size, thread, material or command. The search finds the module first, then the matching content.
Read off
The result is shown large at the top, ready to copy or share. Guide values are clearly marked.
Understand
Sketch, formula and calculation steps show how the value is obtained. Ideal for training and exams.

Frequently asked questions
Does Gesello replace the printed technical handbook?
For everyday calculations, mostly yes: Gesello calculates your specific case instead of making you search through tables. In exams, however, the exam rules decide – and phones are usually not allowed there.
Do I need internet?
No. The app calculates directly on the device. You only need internet to install it, for updates and to buy Pro.
How accurate are the values?
Gesello uses the same formulas you find in formula sheets. Empirical values such as cutting speeds are marked as guide values. The drawing, the manufacturer’s data and your company’s specifications always take precedence.
Can I learn CNC programming with Gesello?
Yes. The CNC learning path takes you through turning and milling to DIN/PAL in 17 lessons, with sketches to tap and quiz questions. It is free, just like the command list.
Which languages is Gesello available in?
In 18 languages, from German and English to Turkish, Polish and Russian, all the way to Japanese and Chinese. The app follows your device language, and you can change it in the settings.
For vocational colleges and companies
