Help

Answers to frequently asked questions. Something missing, or have you spotted an error? Write to dev@gesello.app – ideally with the module, the values you entered and a screenshot.

Do I need internet?

No. The app calculates directly on the device. You only need internet to install it, for updates and to buy Pro.

Do I need an account?

No. Gesello works without signing in. Settings, favourites and history stay on your device.

How do I unlock Pro?

In the app via “Gesello Pro”. Payment is made through Google Play or the App Store. Pro is a one-time purchase that stays unlocked, no subscription.

I have a new phone. Is Pro gone?

No. Sign in with the same store account and tap “Restore purchases” in the app.

I have an offer code for Gesello Pro. How do I redeem it?

On iPhone or iPad, open the link you received with the code. Or open the App Store, tap your profile picture at the top, choose “Redeem Gift Card or Code” and enter the code. Then open Gesello. If Pro is not unlocked straight away, tap “Restore purchases” on the Pro page. Each code can only be used once.

How accurate are the values?

Gesello calculates with the same formulas you find in formula sheets. Empirical values such as cutting speeds are marked as guide values. The drawing, manufacturer’s specifications and your company’s requirements always take precedence.

How do I quickly find a topic?

Use the search on the home screen – it finds modules and content, e.g. “25 H7/g6” or “M10 8.8”. Long-press modules you use often to mark them as favourites.

Where do I find the CNC learning path?

In the CNC module, in the “Basics” tab, right at the top. Choose turning or milling and work through the lessons one after another. More on the Learn CNC programming page.

How do I change the language?

Gesello follows your device language. Under “Settings” you can choose another of the 18 languages.

Where is the calculator?

The calculator is part of Gesello Pro. You will find it in the bar at the bottom, on phone, tablet and PC. On a PC it is also in the sidebar (Alt+R). It opens on top of the current page so you can read off values and keep calculating.
